There are two general areas of due process rights:

1. Procedural due process - the right to be heard, notice of the hearing, ability to file an answer, discovery issues, etc.

2. Substantive due process - which includes all your basic amendment rights.

Among nations that are not defined as totalitarian ones, the democratic nations of the world have people who can be said are able to exercise any number of basic human rights. Here are some examples of these rights that are not ones based on the generosity of governments, but based on the belief that are born with rights as human beings:

1.Freedom of speech 2. Freedom of the press and other information media 3. Freedom to practice their own religion ( provided that such practices, such as polygamy are part of the religion ) 4. To vote for elected officials 5. Freedom to assemble 6. due process in criminal issues 6. freedom of redress of public policies 7. nondiscrimination on political views, sex, or race 8. Freedom of travel ( unless the travel is for terrorist activities ) 9. Equal pay for equal work 10. a system to feed poor and/or unemployed people 11. Access to medical care, either via government help ot private help.


These are basic human rights.
