A current-date uncirculated cent is worth maybe a nickel. A blank planchet, assuming it came from a modern zinc cent and not an older copper one, retails for about $1.

The set's value is unlikely to increase much over the years. There are load of uncirculated coins saved each year, especially given the billions of cents minted. And those big numbers mean that unstruck(*) planchets are much more common than you might suspect.

(*) FWIW coins are STRUCK or MINTED. PRINTING involves paper and ink, like books and dollar bills.

How are jars hermetically sealed?

Jars are hermetically sealed to keep all air out of a container to stop a substance from expiring or going bad. They are often hermetically sealed using heat, once all oxygen is drained out of the jar heat is often applied to make sure that there is no air leaks. Some jars will even contain an oxygen neutralizer or a freshness packet that gets rid of all air that got in after being sealed.

How can you tell if a 1901 10 dollar gold Liberty Head is uncirculated I received it as a gift years ago in a sealed clear box and it has never been opened.?

8-9-11>>> It may be hard to get a good look at the coin in it's container, but uncirculated coins show no signs of wear. Using a good magnifying glass try comparing it a known uncirculated example of a $10 Liberty Head Eagle. Or consider taking it to a coin dealer and removing it from the current container so the coin can be accurately graded. Huge numbers of 1901 Eagles exist in uncirculated grades, so the coin is not rare.
