Virtual Reality
The internet.
In futurism and science fiction, the metaverse is a hypothetical iteration of the Internet as a single, universal and immersive virtual world that is facilitated by the use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headsets.
it is wooz world ok
The term "virtual reality" was coined by Jaron Lanier in the 1980s. It combines "virtual," meaning not physically existing, with "reality," referring to the world as we perceive it. Virtual reality technology creates immersive, computer-generated environments that simulate physical presence, allowing users to interact with a three-dimensional space.
Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that allows users to interact with a computer-generated environment in a very realistic manner. With uses in industries like gaming, education, healthcare, and entertainment, it has grown in popularity recently.

Both augmented reality and virtual reality use simulations of real-world environments to either enhance or completely replace them. Using the camera on a smartphone, augmented reality technology (AR) typically enhances your surroundings by adding digital features to a live view. Virtual reality technology (VR) is an entirely immersive experience that substitutes a virtual environment for the actual world. The gear they require and the differences in the experiences themselves are what set VR and AR apart: Unlike VR, which is entirely virtual, AR uses a real-world context. Unlike VR users, who are under the system's control, AR users have control over their presence in the actual world. AR can be accessed with a smartphone, but VR requires a headgear device. Unlike VR, which can only improve a fictitious reality, AR improves both the actual and virtual worlds.
VRML,also pronounced as 'ver-mul',is the term for Virtual Reality Modeling Language.V RML is a programming language used to create 3D interactive graphics or environments for use on the internet, such as virtual galleries and virtual gaming. It is also to develop multimedia presentations where users can interact with animation, sound, lighting and other objects in a virtual world.
Augmented reality is a mix between virtual objects created with a computer and the world around real, so that this information is amplified.
This is a reference to a science fiction movie called The Matrix. In it, people were trapped in a virtual reality world and were really slaves to machines. If you're caught in the matrix, you're trapped in a virtual reality.
"Real" reality and virtual reality will become one and the same. Nanotechnology will mean there is no distinction. Total VR will exist, but enhanced reality will be more prevalent.
