Growing up being the middle child can sometimes be difficult in many ways. In my case living with my parents and two siblings it was sometimes hard for me to get the guidance I needed. After spending a lot of time with my grandmother, I realized she was the one who had given me the guidance I was longing for. In so many ways, she has influenced me.
When I was 3 years old I started going to my grandmother's preschool. It was a small business that she privately owned for many years. She taught at least 20-30 kids each year. My grandmother thought that was a lot, for such a small community. She ran her preschool all by herself and she didn't mind teaching for those long hours with her "little bayou beginners" she liked to call them Still today at the age of 69 years old, she is continuing her profession. Watching her still work after all those years, she motivates me to want to do the same.
