In my case it is faulty EGR valve. It could be pollution filter as well.
The anti-pollution fault appears in peugeot 207 because it implies that the car has to be cleaned by reving it.
The anti-pollution fault light on a Peugeot 406 is an indication that something is wrong with the smog prevention part of the engine. This could be as simple as the replacement of the air filter or as costly as replacing the oxygen sensor on the vehicle. Either way, it should be investigated before the engine quits.
Anti pollution fault is a generic fault I had an Anti pollution fault on my peugeot 307 cc 2.0. I scanned it and it said it was a ignition coil cylinder no 2 and 3 misfiring. I changed Ignition coil and spark plugs my self and my car is driving like a dream now. so take it for diagnostics it will tell you exactly what is problem. Buy your self a scanner elm 327 is the cheapest. it costs about R600 to scan a car.
most probabably particular filter fault. there should be a tank beside your fuel tank that takes an additive that is sprayed into the filter. Get it checked as the filter is about £600+ The additive is about £30 ! Do the maths ;)
I've just been quoted for this by peugeot as it's a dealer only job and it's £500 -£800 but first of all there going to want to put in on there diagnostic machine at £89 to tell them what's wrong...Bill
I have a 307 1.4 petrol 04 plate Peugeot. Last night I got a "Anti pollution fault" display. The way I rectified this was: 1) I sometimes let the orange light come on my fuel - DON'T do this! Always make sure there is sufficient fuel in you car. I topped the fuel up and the fault light went off. 2) I topped up the tank with some Reddex Fuel Cleaning fluid 3) I then took the car for a 30 min drive down the motorway travelling at approx 60 mph for the duration. This seemed to make the vehicle less sluggish and run more smoothly. This may not work for everyone but it's certainly worth a try ;-)
3 December observed the anti pollution day
There is no simple answer for this. It could be caused by bad fuel, bad coil pack, bad oxygen sensor, or many other things. You will have to take it in to get diagnosed.
I have a 2001 406 estate (2.0 petrol) and have had this warning several times. Once it was a real fault, diagnostic analyser said it was the downstream oxygen sensor (P0136), and replacing the sensor fixed it. Other times the analyser just says "random misfire" (P0300), once it did this after accidentally stalling the engine and it just clears on its own if the misfire has gone away but this takes a while. Resetting the fault code speeds this process up. If the warning is persistent I recommend buying an analyser and seeing what the underlying problem is. Good luck. John.
Fault with clutch master cylinder.
it's Gloria Arroyo's fault
It's for the emissions (anti pollution) tester. will come on if there is a problem/fault with the exhaust/filter etc etc. So basically-an environment factor! Hope this helps! A
