There are many different kinds of tigers, which live in Asia or Europe. They have red or orange fur with black stripes. The biggest kind of tiger is the Siberian tiger, which can stand at 4.5 ft at the shoulder at maximum height. They hunt deer and elk, sometimes birds and even humans. They stalk their prey and use ambush to hunt, even though the powerful creature can run to 38 mph even for its bulk. And it will even swim to cool off. They don't mate for life, and will mate lots of times with several different males in its life time. They usually have two to four cubs, and the cubs leave to find territories of their own as soon as they learn to hunt. males have vast territories, driving intruders out and sometimes fighting for a territory mate with other males. Tigers can even be white, although it is extremely rare.
