The Pac-10, officially known as the Pac-12 since 2011, originally comprised ten universities: University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of California, Berkeley, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Stanford University, University of Southern California (USC), University of Washington, and Washington State University. The conference expanded to 12 members with the addition of the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Utah. The Pac-12 is known for its strong athletic programs, particularly in football and basketball.
