that is a matter of opinion but my personal favourite is the MI24 Hind or the MI35 Havoc. It realy depends wether you want a small gunship or a large gunship. With big gunships i would have to go for the Hind or the Havoc but for small gunships, i like the AH-64 Apache or the KA-52 Alligator
Stupid website...that's not at all what i wanted to ask...This helicopter is my favorite gunship evar!
The Apache may be the best "attack" helicopter but the Navy MH 60 S is the most diverse platform and best utility helicopter in the world.
The joint highest killstreaks are helicopter Gunship and Attack Dogs both on 11 kills.
America's first designed & built attack helicopter was the AH-1 Cobra fielded in the Vietnam War. Note: Any chopper can be called an attack helicopter if its armed for the job. Consequently the terms "designed & built" specifically as a gunship (attack helicopter).
Alexander Mladenov has written: 'Mil Mi-24 Hind gunship' -- subject(s): Mi-24 (Attack helicopter)
No, it is not. I have never even heard of a "hing".
The AH-1 Cobra was the first attack helicopter that saw general combat service in 1965/66 (not a proto-type experiment). The AH-56 Cheyenne gunship made it's first experimental flight in 1967.
An attack helicopter is best for attacking targets and a utility helicopter is best for carrying troops and supplies.
You're referring to a helicopter gunship. Made popular in Vietnam, the French actually employed them first, mounting weapons onto H-21 and H-19 helicopters to provide close air support. This was done as the lighter helicopters of the time did not have enough power to sufficiently mount and carry weapons. These came about before dedicated attack helicopters made their appearance, and were replaced in the gunship role by those dedicated attack helicopters.
There is not a slowest helicopter in the world, hovering can be at 0 mph!
How much does the gunship coast
Yes, the AC-130U Spooky is the biggest gunship.
