The Falcon FPV GT FG has a 5.0L supercharged V8 (standard 351Kw) which would leave the HSV V8 VE behind at the lights. The FG is better engineered, more modern design and more appeal with FPV styling. The falcon BF XR6 Turbo is a modern legend according to the australian car reviewers and beat the VE SS in the reviews, although it is the model before the FG which sould have been compared with the VE. Australia's majority taxi cabs are FALCON's, FAIRLANE, and G6'z, the limos are usually Ford Fairlane's, the fleet cars, business cars are Falcon. The BOSS 5.4L BA/BF V8 motor was concluded a better engine compared to Holden's VY/VZ Chev Gen engine. In 1971 the FALCON XY GT HO was the fastest four door car in the world, and a couple of years ago were selling for up to $1 million dollars. The XY Falcon is the most legendary Australian Classic Muscle car. In the old car muscle car races, either the Falcon GT's or the Mustang's win and the Monaro's and Camaro's usually don't.

FORD is the better option because they have the most legendary, most valuable classic vehicles from the past, particularly falcon GT's from the late sixties and early seventies, the XY GT HO was the quickest four door car in 1971 too. Ford V8 Supercar drivers show good sportsman ship and drivers on the public road don't show off like Holden drivers try doing. The Ford Falcon XR6 turbo 4L six cylinder is quicker and more powerful than Holden's SS V8 5.7L in a drag even when the Ford is a model or two older. As for Ford V8's vs Holden V8's the FORD 5.4L Boss engine is a better and more powerful engine according to the 2004 car review testing, which compared a BA XR8 falcon with a VY SS Holden. The new HSV 6.0L VE V8 is slower than the Ford FG XR6 Turbo 4.0L. The Holden VE cost GMH a billion dollars to test, design, etc, but was still considered not quite as good as the BF and FG falcon's after the car test comparisions, (although the competition was close). Australia's majority taxi's, limo's and business cars have in the recent past decades been Ford Falcon's, mainly because of the in-line six cylinder falcon motor, which is powerful, strong and excellent for clocking high km's, falcon taxi's clock up over 850,000km's and still drive smoothly, unlike Holden's high reving,gutless V6. The FG XR6 4L LPI is cheaper to run than a 1.8L corolla and is quicker and more torque than a non gas commodore SV6, falcon LP gas FG only costing $2 to travel 25.7km's! Going Ford is the going thing.
