Why psp cant play old games?
The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), first released in 2004, cannot play old games because it introduced a new storage medium, known as the Universal Media Disc (UMD). It was developed in-house by Sony from MiniDisc specifically for use in the PSP. As such, games released before the introduction of the PSP, such as those for the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, cannot be played on the PSP.
