If you just want to talk to people then just get the blue tooth headset. If you want to play with a real headset go for a Astro A40, Sennheiser PC 350, or Turtle Beach P91. All these are great and is from high priced to the lower. If you can get your self a Sennheiser PC 350 with the Astro Mix Amp. It works great.

I am not sure if you can use the ToS link cable with it but you can for sure hook it up with component cables. As far as talking im not sure on either but you can at least get audio

No. I just bought the Astros 2011 Edition and there was no case. Astros offers the case for 19.99 as an optional purchase.
