it depends on the brand. i myself have a airsoft gi g&g m4, and could easily run an 11.1v lipo in it. check our the brand and maybe look up some reviews. but without the brand i cannot help you much more. but for most guns, i would not recommend it. just to be safe.

No it does not. The fps is controlled solely by the spring. Batteries are mainly small types and small types are either 8.4v or 9.4v the difference is the higher the voltage the better the fire rate.
