oak is better
I quite agree with above. Oak will blend better with other furniture of mixed woods ... Cherry seems (at least to me) to be a very dark wood that blends better with darker finishes. Got an antique oak chair that still looks great and pleasant to sit in.
From my point of view, for bedroom furniture, such as the bed frame and dressers, the appearance of the wood is the key to a beautiful bedroom.

It depends on the piece. Rubberwood is OK for end tables and bedroom sets. I have seen rubberwood dining chairs break when someone scoots in them. I would never sell rubberwood personally. But it has it's place in low priced furniture.
Well, it depends on what maple it is. Like if it is green maple then green furniture would be the best .....but if it's normal maple.....(which i have no idea what maple actully looks like) then go with the black. p.s. you should no that this is fake
