Jailbreaking is quite dangerous, if it gets stuffed, there is NO GOING BACK!

no warranty or anything.

If you jailbreak, you cannot update in the future to whatever goodies Apple has in store for us!

its only a few dollars! First off jailbreaking is not dangerous. i once tried to jailbreak it but my iPod was getting full and there wasn't much space in it so i had to jailbreak it again. and i unpluged it while it was jailbreaking and i thought my ipod was broken since when i turned it on, all i saw was jailbreaking data and so much white bright words. but iTunes provides you a restore anytime for free! so i did it like 5 times since i had to jailbreak it like 5 times when the operation went wrong for my friends and i forgot to do something or i was missing something, all i did was restore it! and it went back to normal! and the versions (firmwares) are free! and you can update it , even when it is jailbroken. you can also get a warranty all you have to do is restore it again back to normal.
