It was one of the 12 disciples Judas Iscarriot.
The Bible says that Judas betrayed Jesus to the Romans. However recently a gospel of Judas was discovered that says Jesus told Judas to do it even though Judas didn't want to. Most Biblical scholars don't believe the gospel of Judas but, some do. So, it really comes down to whether we choose to accept the Gospel not included in the Bible or not. Personally I don't know. Several books and gospels were not included by the council of nicea in ancient Rome so it is possible that Judas did have a gospel that simply was not included.
Personally, I'm not a fan of either one, but I can at least appreciate some of the humour which accompanies the material released by System of a Down.
Judas
May 8 2011 (Found On Wikipedia But was Taken Down)
Judas Iscariot was one of the disciples of Jesus Christ. He was the treasurer of the group and betrayed Jesus to be crucified. He later on committed suicide as he was weighed down with guilt of betraying his master.
Matthew 27:5 says that Judas threw down the silver in the Temple and went and hanged himself. Acts 1:18 says that Judas bought a field with the reward of iniquity, and fell headlong, bursting asunder and all his bowels gushed out. The author knew nothing of Matthew's suicide account and chose to have Judas die, horribly, of misadventure. Neither account says whether Jesus condemned Judas for what he did.
Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Afterward, Judas regretted his action. So Judas threw down the money and went to hang himself. As to gold money, the rulers during Jesus' time period kept all the gold for themselves.
