PS3 is definitely better because it has: Better graphics, Blu-ray HD movie compatible, motion sensor, it doesn't get the red ring*, internet browser and a wireless internet connection is free.
But with the xbox360, online gaming is better but you have to pay, to get a wireless internet connection it costs $120 AUD, you need to replace the AA batteries in the controller and it does get the red ring*.
*Red ring is something that happens to the xbox360 and it then doesn't work anymore so you have to replace the whole console.
