No, Additions Direct (now called Very) only ships within the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. They will ship small items through the BFPO to service personnel overseas at no additional cost.

The letter that has the stamp of that country MUST be mailed in that country. Like anything stamp related this is not HARD and FAST. Spanish Andorra stamps can be used in Spain and certain Spanish stamps have legitimately been allowed for use in Andorra to pre pay covers internally and abroad. British Forces Post Offices in various countries through out the world (BFPO's) have also used British stamps to forward mail back to the UK therefore there as they say exceptions to every rule!

Childhood is always going to be a very subjective question: I grew up in the 60s and there were times I loved being as I was at that time. A comparison with todays children is very difficult, some things have changed beyond recognition, other things have not changed at all. The world has changed. Time has moved on and we will never see those days again. And indeed it occurs to me that comparison is not really an option, who knows what the future holds for the children of today ? No more than we did as children of the 60s in Britain listening to the Beatles or Hermans Hermits or the Dave Clark 5 on the radio on Four Way Family Favourites from BFPO goodness knows where.... Or Alf Garnett in black & white on the telly calling his wife a silly moo and thinking about how mum & dad relate to that in reality. And then there were fields & trees and freedom.... Nostalgia isn't what it used to be....
