Which is better a sprung mattress or a foam mattress?

Both are great choices, but if I had to choose between the two I would go with a sprung mattress. However, foam mattresses do offer comfort in addition to the bounce and spring together. It's all about what your needs for sleep are and how you feel about the organic mattress.

Is there a difference between a cage sprung mattress and a pocket sprung mattress?

Pocket springs have revolutionised mattress manufacture in the last few years. They are individual nested springs each in there own cotton pocket. As the springs are individual they move independently of each other accenting your body's movement and supporting you only where you lay. Also if you share a bed it reduces the 'Roll-Together' effect, this is where two people of uneven weight unintentionally roll together, it can usually happen with a standard cage sprung mattresses where all the springs are linked.

What is a sprung mattress?

This is a type of mattress with upright springs incorporated inside. This is a common type of mattress today. Increasing in popularity are pocket sprung mattresses; they minimize 'roll-together' and, because the springs are independent, the springs closely follow the contour of the body for increased supporty. The best matresses have 3 layers upright/interwoven springs with small pocket springs over and a 'memory foam' top layer.
