They are available at Walmart.
Not quite boxers, not quite briefs. Typically, they have a design like a brief (with a brief fly front), but they have the leg length of a boxer. Some brands fit tighter like a brief, while others have a more loose feel. They are most often 100% cotton, but the bargain brands like Hanes and Fruit of the Loom will make theirs with some polyester. Colors are generally solid, but there are some with patterns like boxers. They are a great choice for those guys who like a little more freedom than a brief, but find the freedom of a boxer a bit much.
If you're looking online, you can find selections of Champion boxer briefs at the Champion website or at Amazon. If you prefer to go to a physical store, stores such as Target, Walmart, or JC Penny all carry Champion boxer brief underwear.
Wearing brief underwear will affect the potency of the reproductive organs if too snug or tight. The underwear will not allow the scrotum to "breathe" if too snug or hugging the area, due to friction, body heat, or lack of circulation. The underwear needs to be in the middle of snug and loose, such as in a boxer brief instead of a brief.

Definitely boxers. It depends. They are both night and day apart. With briefs, they are designed to support whereas boxers are designed for a more natural state (no support). Then, there are boxer briefs, which, depending on the manufacturer, can either be really a brief with a longer leg (like a boxer), or a brief that has the fit of a boxer that still looks like a brief (with a longer leg like a boxer). Complicated, isn't it? Which is better is just a matter of preference. Try all three and see which is more comfortable overall as each style has their good and bad points.
