What is causing AC in car to make a squealing sound only when you start going down the road and then it stops when you reach about 55 mph When AC is turned off it doesn't do it at all.?

a loose belt between an engine pully and your AC pump is causing the squealing noise a loose belt between an engine pully and your AC pump is causing the squealing noise oic, come to find out that a bolt broke off that holds the pully that was causing the belt the squeel. Also, they ended up just replacing the water pump, saying, while we are in here, you prolly need another water pump cause they tend to got out at 60,000 and up, which is what my cars miles is. It's going to be your radiator fan clutch. Mine was squealing for a while until finally it turned into clanging. It was pretty bad. I'm in the process now of replacing mine. That should be your next step.
