Just an out there idea, but have you had any smell of antifreeze? You may want to check your crossover, they were installed plastic and they crack allowing antifreeze to leak into the chambers. This will cause misses etc, and it will get worse. If this is your problem, also replace plugs and plug wires as the antifreeze will cause the plugs to corrode and can be forced up into the wires, causing them to malfunction.
they are the exact same
no they will not
To replace the spark plugs on a 1996 GMC Sonoma, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the spark plug wires by gently twisting and pulling them off the plugs. Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew the old plugs, then insert the new plugs, tightening them to the manufacturer's specifications. Reattach the spark plug wires, reconnect the battery, and start the engine to ensure everything is working properly.
