Note that HIV is not usually noted as a major cause of death - which is a bit misleading. HIV is noted stated as the cause of death since it does not kill the patient, but rather weakens the immune system, allowing other diseases to affect and eventually kill the patient. The disease that the patient dies from is then noted as the cause of death.
It cannot be ignored that HIV is a contributory factor in many deaths as it lowers immune responses allowing other diseases to kill.
One of the major health problems in Africa is starvation. even if there is a wide variety of animals to hunt, they are protected by law. that means there is not much to eat in Africa. Also, most of Africa is a desert or is hot, so there is not much water. some of the water are not constantly moving so bugs of all kind nest in these waters. if someone dying of thirst passes there, they might drink it and get sick. this disease might spread around. so illnesses are also one of the biggest health problems.
