How did ancient Romans worship their ancestors?

The ancient Romans did not exactly worship their ancestors as much as honoring them. They had special festivals in which honor was paid to their ancestors. If the ancestor was famous, they could have a wax mask made of him and that mask was displayed in the atrium of the house and carried in funeral processions of current members of the family.

How did west africans honor their ancestors?

Ancestors are vested with mystical powers and authority. They retain a functional role in the world of the living, specifically in the life of their living kinsmen; indeed, African kin-groups are often described as communities of both the living and the dead. The relation of the ancestors to their living kinsmen has been described as ambivalent, as both punitive and benevolent and sometimes even as capricious. In general, ancestral benevolence is assured through propitiation and sacrifice; neglect is believed to bring about punishment. Ancestors are intimately involved with the welfare of their kin-group but they are not linked in the same way to every member of that group. The linkage is structured through the elders of the kin-group, and the elders' authority is related to their close link to the ancestors. In some sense the elders are the representatives of the ancestors and the mediators between them and the kin-group.

Who are considered to be ancient ancestors of Romans?

From my understanding their was so much intermixing over the years it is hard to tell. Ethnic Romans were descendants of Indo-European Italic peoples and non-Indo-European Mediterranean peoples (myths say they are descended from Trojan refugees from Greece). They began in Italy in an area called Latium. Eventually they expanded their empire to what is now France, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Germany, and parts of Eastern Europe and the Near East. When they invaded a nation (i.e. the Celtic Gauls in France) they would intermix with them. Gauls and Romans produced Gallo-Romans. Celtiberians in Spain and Romans produced Hispano-Romans. Later, Germanic tribes took over the Western part of Rome and intermixed with the Gallo-Romans, Hispano-Romans, Roman-Romans, etc. producing the French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc. peoples. All in all, many European peoples have Roman blood but their exists no pure Roman people in Modern Europe. Romance speaking people probably have more Roman ancestry than a Russian or German for example, but still possess German, Celtic, and even Middle Eastern blood.

From which countries does Italians ancestors come from?

I would say Iran and Greece, since the Persian and Greek empire were the closest to the Roman empire, also there's DNA evidence that proves Persian's, Italian's and Greek's have the same ancestors. They all have the same features as well, so it's very possible.

Does the ankylosaurus have ancestors that live today?

All ancestors of the dinosaurs, including those of Ankylosaurus, are extinct. The closest living relatives of Ankylosaurus and other dinosaurs are the birds. Birds evolved from small, feathered, arborial theropods. Theropods were bipedal dinosaurs with three toes on each foot, and most were lizard-hipped carnivores.
