Celexa (citalopram hydrobromide), an antidepressant or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, was listed on the FDA Medwatch this morning as dangerous to patients using greater than 40 mg a dose. The Celexa label recommended up to 60 mg per dose, an amount that proved fatal to some patients taking the antidepressant.
