Cave dwellers would have used their caves for shelter, protection, and storage of food and tools. They may have also used the caves for socializing, cooking, and sleeping. Some evidence suggests that they may have created art and performed rituals in caves as well.

What does each of us is just one paycheck away from homelessness mean?

It means just what it says, I always say it this way, "But for the grace of God there go I... Losing your job and not being able to make it finacially could happen to any of us and if you don`t have family to go to, then you (might) be living on the streets. Though most of us have some one whether it be a friend or church member. I think their are some, that choose this life style, they just don`t want the responsibility. But I am greatful everyday for being able to live in a home, not a mansion, mind you, but it`s warm and dry. I have food to eat, a soft bed to sleep in. I can`t imagine how scary that would be. But for me who`s son has cancer, it would be terrified. I thank God everyday that I am able to pay my bills. In this economy, none of us really know what might happen in the next moment, be it as I say the economy or some disaster. Sort of off subject there but terrorists do exist and we might all end up with no where to go, or in hiding, or even communial. But if you really think about it, the early church had everything in common. This sort of thing would never happen for some religions, i.e. The Mormons, The Amish, The Quakers...please anyone who are of these religions, don`t take offence. Rather be glad that you have that kind of support. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Linda~

What ritual do jewish people follow on friday?

Sunset Friday evening is the start of Shabbat (the Sabbath), so typical rituals Friday afternoon include making challah (special bread, usually braided) for Shabbat dinner, and part of this is "taking challah," removing two balls of dough, the size of large marbles, and tossing them in the back of the oven to be burned after saying a blessing. No later than just before sunset, the Shabbat candles are lit, with a blessing. Traditionally, this and "taking challah" was the woman's obligation. After the candles are lit, the meal begins with Shabbat Kiddush, a blessing over the wine, and then over the challah. The challah is usually covered with anything from a napkin to an ornate challah cover during the blessing over the wine "to keep it from being embarrassed." If a family can only afford meat one meal a week, tradition says they should eat that meat for their Shabbat dinner, but this does not demand meat at the Sabbath, it merely asks that the Shabbat dinner be the best meal of the week. If you're going to splurge one meal a week, this is it. After the meal, since it did contain bread, the longer grace after meals is said, with Shabbat additions. (the tradition has shorter graces after meals with no bread, and even shorter forms if the meal has no grain products at all.) In addition, there are communial Erev Shabbat (Shabbat Eve) services. Traditionally, only men are obligated to attend these. The Erev Shabbat service may be before dinner, frequently combined with a Friday afternoon service, or it may be after dinner. The time of sunset swings wildly for those not living near the equator, so some communities do things differently in the summer and winter.

You want to know about neighbourhood and communial harmony?

Our India is blessed with different religions and traditions followed in different States where 'Communal Harmony' is a very much considering concept. From so many years we all are living in our country very happily which proves that we respect harmony in society. So I think India is a best example on "Communal Harmony" in the world.Basically we all are society lovers. Nobody can live without company in his whole span of life. So, we must respect every person in our society. Life without people is a boring concept. So for making our life beautiful it is necessary to make our society beautiful and its not possible without harmony. So, for making society good it is my responsibility too to behave well to the society. Good Society does not means the camp of one cast or community. It is necessary to be a good human being is our first religion/ reference. If I need support from the society then it is my responsibility also to support the society too. And if I think every one keep this in mind then Communal Harmony automatically take its place. While making our life successful/ good, we must support others in the society to make there life good too or at lest we must take care that we are not disturbing other life's' for our own success. And I assure that if we take this care then we automatically support our societies progress with good harmony. In India it is hopeless to say this is my area or this is yours. Actually because of different languages/ religions automatically India is divided into small parts. But it does not mean that person from one part cannot interfere in another part. But while for survival we are migrating form our region then it is our responsibility to respect the original traditions, peoples from that part of the country. If we live happily giving required space and respect to others then no matter where you from.If I know the rights of others and also my responsibility towards the society then Communal Harmony is not a very conflicting concept. Following the Live and let live principal automatically helps to create Communal Harmony in the society.

What is the best explanation of communism?

Anytime you get into the -isms you will always get a certain amount of disagreement, and communism is often mistaken for socialism because most countries in the 20th century that IMPLEMENTED socialism were CALLING THEMSELVES communist. This is because nobody knew how to make communism work, so they implemented socialism on the belief that communism would arise from that (as predicted by Marx). Communism is a classless, moneyless, and stateless arrangement where everyone produces to the best of their ability, but consumes only what they need. Socialism is government ownership of the means of production. That is the classic definition. I would substitute the word 'control' for 'ownership' in the sentence. To implement socialism, you need a near-omnipotent state, and there's the rub. Socialism creates such a concentration of power that massive corruption is inevitable. Very few people actually advocate for real socialism anymore. Usually, they just mean capitalism with a large social welfare presence. Which is not socialism.
