It depends on the age and body length of the individual pig. Find a vet that is experienced in exotics (guinea pigs are one of several animals that are considered to be veterinary exotics) to see if your pig is at a healthy weight.

If one of your guinea pigs was limping would it help if you took your other guinea pig out of the hutch?

As long as the other guinea pig isn't crawling all over the limping one it should be fine! When a guinea pig is in distress the other guinea pig normally looks after it. The guinea pig that is well will probably take it food. Make sure it can get water. Take it to the vets if it starts to loose weight e.t.c. If you took the other one out it would make things work. It will miss the other one and start to get distressed. Hope this helps Laura
