Cramp is when your muscles tighten and go stiff it will hurt but will go off some time after. Sometimes if you get cramp in your foot you wil be able to see it just stand on it and it will go off. Some people say that cramp is caused by not enough water but i dont believe that . It could be caused by low calcium levels in the blood.

∙ 8y agoDysmenorrhea is the medical term for it. The cause for menstrual cramps are contractions in the uterus, which is a muscle. It contracts throughout your whole menstrual cycle. If the uterus contracts too strongly, it can press against nearby blood vessels and cut off the supply of oxygen to the muscle tissue of the uterus. The result is pain when part of the muscle briefly loses its supply of oxygen.
