What is dead island about?

Dead island is about a group of 4 people who are at a Resort on Banoi when a mysterious strain of disease causes people to turn into "Zombies" (its some form of motor control and mental disorder that is common amoung the natives of banoi who practice canabilism. I can't remember the name been a while) and go around biting people spreading the strain. This group of 4 people are immune to the strain as they all have the same blood type which is immune to the virus. This makes them the perfect weapon in this disaster. They then get a message via the radio about a way to get off Banoi so they chase this long term goal while at the same time supplying people with food, assisting stranded survivors, etc. Lack of food at the resort forces them to head into the city. Where their aid is also requested. When they eventually get a reply from the person with the escape route they are told they will have to get a hold of a boat to get to him as the Banoi Island Defence Cournel, Ryder Whyte is on the prison island off the coast. Whyte tips them off about a smuggler who knows a way around the prisons mine field. When they find this man called Mowen, Whyte requests they go to a lab in the middle of the jungle to create a cure for the strain from their blood as his wife was bitten by one of the infected. At this lab they go through the long drawn out procedure of obtaining research for these scientists to create the cure. When this is created they head to the prison island which they discover is also infested with zombies and the block Whyte has secured is blocked off from the rest of the prison, the prisoners they find trade directions on how to get there for more assistance obtaining food, weapons etc. Upon getting to Whytes block the yare gassed in an elevator and Whyte takes the cure off them and flees. When the characters are woken up by a one of the prisoners who helped them obtain the weapons they hear that Whyte is going to call in bombers to destroy all of Banoi and the infected with it they then chase him to the roof and corner him at his helicopter. Jinn (one of the people who helped them with their journey) releases his wife from her straps and she bites Whyte, he knocks his wife over and shoots Jinn, he then uses the cure on himself and immediately turns into a thug/infected (not really sure how, possible malfunction in cure????) they fight he dies. Then Logan (one of the characters) says something like, "Man! I can't believe this is over. Heck after this i'll be glad to have all my old problems back!" to which the prisoner who helped with the weapons says, "Oh no the world will never be the same again...." and gives a half smile. I have heard talk about a new game being designed by the same company called "Dead World" (possible DI2???) god that was long.... hope this helps!
