Diagnostic codes are generated by your on-board computer. They tell you what problems the computer has identified with your engine. The codes are numbers. The code numbers are read by an instrument that plugs into a special jack under the dash. Auto parts stores often will check your diagnostic codes for free, or you can have your dealer do it.

It’s advisable to inspect the related wiring and connectors for damage or corrosion and test the PCM for proper function.
The diagnostic code P0320 for a Dodge Neon refers to a problem with the ignition system, specifically indicating a malfunction in the crankshaft position sensor circuit. This code typically suggests that the engine control module (ECM) is not receiving a proper signal from the crankshaft position sensor, which can lead to issues with engine timing and performance.
