Diagnostic codes are generated by your on-board computer. They tell you what problems the computer has identified with your engine. The codes are numbers. The code numbers are read by an instrument that plugs into a special jack under the dash. Auto parts stores often will check your diagnostic codes for free, or you can have your dealer do it.
Trouble code P0320 on a 2002 Dodge Neon indicates a problem with the crankshaft position sensor circuit. This code is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects an irregular signal or no signal from the crankshaft position sensor, which is crucial for engine timing and performance. Common causes include a faulty sensor, damaged wiring, or poor connections. Addressing this issue is important to ensure proper engine operation and prevent potential stalling or starting problems.
