Drilling is a cutting process in which drill is used to make a hole. Drilling process usually creates rough surfaces. Therefore, reaming is done after drilling to make a good surface finish, without changing the chemical and physical properties of the material.
In reaming, only 5% of the material is removed (rest is removed by drilling process done before).
Drilling - Make/drill holes of standard sizes using drill bits Boring - Enlarge the drilled holes to the req. dimension/diameter ( i.e. non.std. sizes ) using boring tool
Conventional Drilling is the drilling of a vertical well through reservoir rocks to TD. Directional drilling is the drilling of a non-vertical well horizontaly through a source rock.
difference between lathe and drill machine doing full on piece of metal
Both are same
a drilling machine is used to drive nails and screws into position while boring tools are used to bore holes into wood

Boring is generally more accurate than reaming. Also, reamers can only get so large and/or so long before they become unreliable and/or very expensive.

onshore is oil well drilled on land. offshore is oil well drilled in sea/ocean.
