Spindle speed is very important. Don't accept less than a 7200 RPM spindle speed.
reaming can be done on lathe machine - only precaution taken is the reamer is not drawn back till the reaming is complete. Proper coolant is used and the rpms are maintaind slow

It's hard to beat the stock spindle size. You can go bigger but that will gear your spindle drive Go-Ped model to go faster. that sounds good but it take power to go faster so it will take a little longer to get to speed and your ability to climb hills gets restricted. Gear it to go too fast by putting a too big of spindle and the engine will not have enough power to get to top speed and you have a scooter that only bogs around with a gutless feal to it. You can also put a smaller sized spindle on it and gear it lower. Doing this will make it a powerful hill climber but it will not go as fast as stock at top speed.
