What is differences between the design of the watch and the design of the universe?

The universe and a watch have a basic similarity. However, the universe is actually more precise than a watch is. The scale of the universe is too vast for a human mind to comprehend but you could say it works like "clockwork" on a cosmologic scale. The differences would be that a watch is not built to last forever and is dependent on outside energy. Also the gears or circuits would eventually break down where as the universe seems capable of existing indefinitely.

∙ 9y agoAn important difference is that a watch was actually designed and created. The universe was not designed, but arrived at its present state because of the natural laws that govern it. While the universe may appear perfect to the non-scientist, it is far from so, with galaxies colliding randomly over immense periods of time, stars exploding as supernovas and black holes devouring anything that approaches too closely.
