The diverter, or blend, door, is not working properly, The door is either feeding the heat through the defroster, or closing the heat completely off.
THE COLD AIR WARM AIR EXHANGE DIVERTER DOOR IS NOT WORKING
The actuator that controls the diverter door needs to be replaced.
Heat
If the compressor ls operating then either the heat control is stuck on heat, or the diverter door is not opening. Turn on the heat an see if the heat temp will go up and down, If its ok then a door is probably stuck in heat mode. Check for vacuum leaks, as the door operates on a vacuum.
no and you suck
THE HEATING SYSTEM IN THIS CAR USES BLEND DOOR ACUATORS THAT OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR THAT ALLOW HEAT INTO THE HEATER/AC DISTRIBUTION CASE.THESE MOTORS FREQUENTLY FAIL.
Diverter is improperly engaging in the dash. Turn all dash switches off. Turn on truck, turn heater switch to max heat, then turn switch to vent. Feel any heat coming from dash? Now turn fan up a notch. You may hear the diver flap engage, and air gets cooler. Got drop dash to fix it
A heated seat switch is what controls the heat settings of the seat. Each seat has its own switch that controls the heating elements and can be mounted on the door panel or the seat.
An ouside air temp changeover thermostat. lc
Check the control actuating cables or switch to the heater diverter valve to make sure hot water is being sent to the core.
There is a temp blend door controlled by the temp control switch. The temp blend door is run by an actuator. If this actuator needs replacement it requires removal of the dash assembly (big job).
