Dominance hierarchy occurs when a group of animals will interact. Hierarchical ranking takes place so as to maintain mutual respect in the social interaction.
it is incomplete dominance because it runs in the genes
Total dominance is just another way of saying complete dominance. It is basically when one allele takes over the other
Chickens peck at each other to establish who has dominance over the other. It is called the pecking order. Sick or injured birds offer changes to the established order and their place on the flock hierarchy. The aggression by the other chickens is showing they are moving up at the expense of the weaker bird.
Me, me, and me.
It symbolizes strength and dominance.
Alpha, then Beta, then Gamma, then Omega
Ensures that the strongest gets to pass on its genes
dominance hierarchy
Social organization is achieved through the pecking order behavior in a flock of chickens. It is an example of a dominance hierarchy.
It's called dominance humping, and there's nothing sexual about it. Basically they're trying to sort out their hierarchy and who calls the shots.
Hegemony is when a social group claims a dominating position in a social hierarchy. In this case, patriarchal hegemony is the dominant social position of the men and the subordinate position of women.
Head butting is both a natural and learned behavior in sheep. It is a way for rams to get into physical shape for the breeding season and to establish (or re-establish) the dominance hierarchy.
Curley behaves aggressively towards Crooks, the stable buck, because of his own insecurities and desire to assert his dominance. He intimidates and belittles Crooks, enforcing the racial hierarchy on the ranch.
There is no hierarchy.

Incomplete Dominance
We have gotten away from the alpha wolves designation and have begun to realize that the wolf pack is, basically, a family. The mated pair are generally the parents of the rest of the pack. Some in/out movement is going on in the pack as young wolves break away to form new packs in new territory and sometimes strange wolves are allowed to join packs. Hierarchy is determined as I said above with the mated pair at the top and doing all the breeding. The siblings of this breeding sort themselves out in loose dominance hierarchies with this determined by the " dominance " run and by the order of the chase in prey acquisition.
