By observing Eastern Daylight time (EDT), about 105 minutes of daylight is shifted from morning to evening, and the clock says about 1:45 PM EDT when the sun passes overhead in central Indiana, where by true apparent time it would be noon, which is why EDT is often called "double-fast time" in Indiana.
