Seems like it could be referring to up/down regulation of the receptors in your brain that give you effects from drugs. Downregulation is a way for your brain to adjust/protect itself.
also.. I'm da ish trick what what
is needed to prevent the downregulation of target cells
Goserelin is an GnRH receptor agonist and bings stronger than GnRH. Due to the constant activation of the GnRH receptor (Goserelin binds really strong; Superagonist) the cell internalizes the receptor -> Downregulation.
it hasn't been tried yet... or so im told
Steroid abuse can cause downregulation of the Androgen Receptor, therefore reducing the effects of testosterone and other androgens in vivo.
== == Thyroid hormones have far more than just three effects on the body. Two major ones are (1) the upregulation of an electrolyte pump called the sodium-potassium pump and (2) synergism with the sympathetic nervous system.
Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) refers to a relatively common disease in which gastric contents are refluxed into part of the upper GI tract and respiratory pathway. Studies have shown that the presence of LPR causes an upregulation of antibody secreting mucosal cells and stimulation of lymphoid tissue.
drug abuse could lead to drug addiction and dependence
Ibuprofen is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug which pretty much protects mucus linings. This keeps viruses from spreading as rapidly and the human immune system destroys the infection. This is,of cousre as most answers are, over-simplified,however,unless you are going into the medical field, that information is sufficient. Should you have anymore questions on drug names simply look up the drug type and you will be able to piece together how this interacts with the body. As you do this, please realize that it is a common misconception that the drug destroys the fever virus. It does not. Only the immune system can destroy virus. Drugs like ibuprofen merely make the conditions optimal for the immune system to act.
Up regulation is the process when there is an increase of receptors on the surface of cells making them more sensitive to agents such as hormones. This is generally associated with pregnancy because hormone levels vary all the time. Up regulation activity increases signalling the cells to prepare for labor and delivery.
Recreational Drug.
No, a drug can not have new drug application and an abbreviated drug application number can be NOT the same. Source: Experience.
Drug tests can not differentiate the means of taking a drug.
