EARHTWORMS! -again, mine love them, they eat a lot of them. they just find them in the soil and gulp em' down! they are a nice snakc because they can alwasy find them in the dirt That is about it, oh just make sure you cut the fruit to a sensible size so it doesnt choke....or can actually eat it! The lettuce does not need to be cut because the turtle will just tear it....I hope this helps you! Enjoy your turtle!
Answer: Fresh fruits(fruit cocktail as a treat), fresh vegetables(mine likes orange peppers), red wrigglers(worms), earthworms, night crawlers, crickets and meal worms. Half of their diet should consist of insects and worms and the other half should consist of vegetables and fruit. You can also buy Box turtle food at some pet stores. Give them a variety of food options and change it up. Be random with what you decide to give them each day.
I have two turtles (a male and female). I feed mine strawberries and bananas, both finely chopped, in the morning. And a mixture of corn, chopped tomato, and fat free Hot Dogs weiners. Sometimes I throw in applesauce which makes the smell stronger. If you happen to come across any earthworms or crickets throw them in the pen/ terrerium. Hope this helps! Corn, chopped tomato, and hot dog weiner mixture: 1 tablespoon whole corn (from the can) 1 tablespoon chopped tomato 1 tablespoon chopped hot dog weiner (I use fat free) Mix together well
