Eutely is an interesting phenomenon found in certain Aschelminths. In such animals number of cells may be constant in all members of a species. Sometimes number of cells may be constant in an organ. For example 959 somatic cells are present in adult Caenorhabditis elegans , in it's pharynx 80 cells are present.
