family life is very important in Latin America. the father is usually like the head of the family. in some parts of the caribbean however the mother is the head of the family. adult brothers and/or sisters usually live close near each other so their kids-- cousins can bond and have a much closer relationship. often several generations live with each other because they love their family so much and the adults are required and expected to care for their mother and/or father.
