depends on are good you are at shifting, if you know what your doing a Manuel is faster
I disagree:A properly tuned automatic will always be faster than the manual gear box over the 1/4 mile drag race. The basic numbers come down to an automatic will never stop applying power to the wheels while a manual will for a split second.
The problem comes in when we get to truly fast cars (8 seconds and faster) there are no automatics that can take this abuse and the manual box becomes the only choice.
A standard transmission is not necessarily faster. You do however have more control over the shifting sequence, so you can often push the car more than an automatic would allow.
automatic has faster accleration
Yes, the VW Rabbit will be available in both standard and automatic transmission. The transmission options are a 5 speed manual or 6 speed automatic.
Yes, but you have to remove the automatic transmission housing, and you have to replace the Torque Converter with a standard transmission clutch that matches the type of transmission with which you are mating the engine.
If you buy a standard then it will be a manual transmission. If you buy an automatic, then it will be automatic.
it was standard but you could order it with an automatic from the factory
It can come with either one. But the standard is an automatic transmission.
depends is it standard or automatic
Auto.
It would be cheaper to repair or replace the automatic transmission. There are too many differences between a standard transmission and an automatic to economically swap in a standard.
With a manual transmission you downshift to slow down in situations where in an automatic you would have to use the brakes. Using brakes more = brakes wearing faster.
Is this a standard transmission, or an automatic? automatic
