It is knife like tool which is usedd to remove weed from the ground surfaces. If the width of knife is increased many times, its length is reduced many times, and its handle is removed from its length side and fitted to width side, it takes the shape of KHURPI. In knife as well as in Khurpi, the shear force is applied perpendicular to the cutting edge, the difference is of location of handle and the shape. In knife the cutting edge is long (50 mm to 300 mm), whereas in Khurpi the cutting edge is small (20 mm to 100 mm). Knife is pressed sideway, whereas Khurpi is pushed forward.
