Global warming is the gradual warming of the earth that has been happening over the past 200 years. It is caused by the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) in industry, transport and the generation of electricity. It is also caused by deforestation, where we cut down great forests all over the world that used to absorb carbon dioxide as they grew.
To fix the problem we have to stop burning fossil fuels. The only way we can do this is if we begin to use renewable energy, solar, wind, geothermal etc. These all produce electricity without any carbon emissions. We can use as much electricity as we want if it is all generated from renewable energy. Enough sunshine falls on the earth in one day to power the whole world for a year!
yes he can
yes it is
Global warming skeptics do not believe the geoscientists, engineers and meteorologists round the world. The skeptic individuals believe that nature is the primary cause of global warming and/or that future global warming will not be a very serious problem.
Global warming
Global warming is causing climate change, which will mean sea level rises, flooding of coastal cities and croplands, disappearance of Pacific Island countries, drought and famine in many parts of the world. The habitats of animals, birds and of humans will be severely changed, and those who can't move or adapt will die. So it would be good to fix the problem.
Deforestation has become a global problem because forest destruction is one of the main causes of global warming. Through photosynthesis, trees and plants remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, slowing global warming.
in 1998
It is because of pollution and global warming.
Yes, it certainly is.
Gas emission laws are put into place to help prevent global warming.
since the early 90s
global warming causes higher sea levels which may cause floods in low lying countries :O
