yes it can. if the check engine light shuts off by itself then chances are either the trouble code is a soft code. A hard code will keep the check engine light on until the problem is fixed and the check engine light is reset.

Check the car computer for error codes, google them.
I am having a problem right now with my check engine light too. I don't know why your motor shuts down, but in the book it states that when your check engine light comes on, you are having a problem with your emission control. For you, it might be a sensor is shutting down your engine. I know last month Mister Transmission was having a free check out your engine special, so you might want to call there to see if they can put your car on a diagnotic. Good luck
The remote start is disabled when the check engine light is on. Is the check engine light on? Scan it and see what the sensors are doing or have it diagnosed. possible idle air control? Need more information....
There are many reasons why a check engine light could come on and shut a Trailblazer off. It could be the fuel pump or the oil pump. A mechanic will be able to run diagnostic tests to figure out the problem.
The gasoline engine usually shuts off when stopped at a red light.
needs a new thermostat or water pump
Check ur cps sensor
No, but it has a temperature gauge that you need to check regularly.
If the problem was correctly fixed by a mechanic or yourself the check engine light should go out after a few cycles (on/off of running). A mechanic usually shuts the light off with diagnosis tools after the work is completed to check that it does not come on again due to the same error as there is no way to permanently shut the light off. If it is still on the repair done may not have been needed or there are more issues that need attention.
