Driving pretty normal (not extremely sporty) I get around 8 liters / 100 km, driving 50:50 highway and inside cities. When giving effort (slow starting, rolling out if possible etc)
I can get to 7 1/2 - 8 liters/100km.
My neighbour who also has a 2001 RAV4, driver mainly 80 km/h zones (almost no traffic lights, long straight pieces of road) and is driving around 6.9 liters/100 km (which is the best he go so far).
