using weelbarrow and shovel 3 parts sand 1 part portland cement mix dry then add water mix until " buttery" add 2 part stone mix some more, look at what you have, then use your best judgment as to wether it needs more of either of the ingredients, only experience can help. when troweled the "cheese" should cover the stone, the colour should be grey not brown and water should not run freely on the surface. good luck
