The phrase I'm familiar with that generally means "have a nice day" but can be translated as "be well" is "O-genki de" (お元気で)
"Shuumatsu ni tanoshinde ne?" = shoo-mah-tsoo nee tah-no-sheen-deh neh?
It means: "Have fun over the weekend, okay?"
"subarashii ichi-nichi o sugosuyoni" but Japanese would think you a bit weird if you said its only an American thing
お仕事場で楽しい一日を => oshigotoba de tanoshii ichinichi wo.
よい一日を(Yoi Ichinichi wo) means 'Have a great day' literally, but いってらっしゃい(Itte Rasshai) have the same mean if used when you see someone off.
Ii na nichi desho? いいな日でしょ?

good afternoon is simply "good afternoon" !
Say Good Afternoon, after 12:00pm and before 5:00, or you might say it after lunch and before dinner.
