'Holushki" - Галушки - is Ukrainian (Western Ukraine) traditional food. Actually it is a stuffed cabbage (fresh or sauer).The stuffing consists of rice,pork and carrot. Serving with the different sauses but most common is the mushrum sause (Porcini of course). It is absolutely to be included in Christmas menu.

Another meaning (Eastern Ukraine) - a kind of bread (seasoned with garlic) to be eaten with the Borsch.

Holushki is actually cabbage and noodles....not a stuffed cabbage roll. Both are mighty tasty. ;-)
