The gradual de-humanisation that took place throughout the Nazi rule meant that extermination was simply the next step. It is like if you put a frog in boiling water, it would jump out straight away, however, it the water starts cold and gradually gets hotter, he wouldnt jump out. In other words, extermination couldnt have happened as soon as the Nazis got into power, but as it was something that took place over 10 years, it was just the next step.

- Production involves the use of mice. These mice are used to produce both antibodies and tumour cells. The production of tumour cells involves deliberately inducing cancer in mice. Despite specific guidelines drawn up to minimise any suffering, some people still have reservations about using animals in this way.- To eliminate the need for humanisation of the antibody, transgenic mice can be used. In this case, a human gene is placed in the mice to that they can produce human antibodies rather than mouse antibodies. This raises the whole debate surrounding the ethics of genetic engineering.- Monoclonal antibodies have been used successfully to treat a number of diseases, including cancer and diabetes, saving many lives. There have also been some deaths associated with their use in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.- Testing for the safety of new drugs presents certain dangers. In march 2006, six healthy volunteers took part in the trial of new monoclonal antibody (TGN1412) in London. Within minutes they suffered multiple organ failure, probably as a result of T cells overproducing chemicals that stimulate an immune response or attacking the body tissues. All the volunteers survived, but it raises issues about the conduct of drug trials.
Well the Holocaust itself refers to the slaughter of the Jews which only began in 1942 and finished in 1945. However, the gradual anti-semetism that was seen in Germany began when Hitler became to power and arguably the de-humanisation that occured was planned by Hitler from the start in order for the mass extermination of the Jews to be carried out.1935: Nuremberg Rally:- Laws were passed that de-humanise Jews, mixed marriges forbidden.Jews citizenship denied1938:- Kristallnacht (Night of broken glass) Series of anti jewish attacks, thousands of businesses attacked, synagogues burnet, 91 jews murdered, 20,000 sent to camps.1941:- Half a million Russian Jews shot by German soldies and the group run by Heydrich (cant remember the name)Sept:- Ordered to wear star of davidOct:- Decision on final solution1942:- Wansee Conference, set about to discuss how they were going to kill 6 million Jews.Systematic round up of all German Jews and sent to the camps in the east and the gassing begins.1943:- Camp system expaned. Then in 1944 it was called to an end as they tried to cover it up as they were about to lose the war :)Source:- History class :)
