An ibruprofen is a painkiller which stops pain receptors in the brain going to where your pain is. e.g. you have Back pain. You take an Ibruprofen. It usually heals after 30mins- 1 hour. Chemically, ibuprofen is iso-butyl-propanoic-phenolic acid. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and is commonly marketed under names like Advil, Motrin, etc.
